How to add one or several tags to content on our Workspace

In order to add one or several tags to content on our Workspace, you should first open our official list of tags in a separate window so that you can have an eye on it in parallel.

Once this is done, the actions to be taken depend on the "app" that you use on our Workspace.

On the "Files" app

  1. Click on the three dots at the right of the icon representing the document or folder to which you want to assign one or several tag(s);
  2. In the menu that appears, click on the option "Open details" that is preceded by the letter "i";
  3. A side menu opens;
  4. On the side menu, click on the three dots on the top right, situated just at the left of the "X" that closes this menu;
  5. In the menu that appears, click on the option "Tags";
  6. A small window appears with the mention of "Collaborative tags";
  7. Start typing in that window the first letters of the tag that you wish to add among those of the official list;
  8. Select the official tag that you wish in the list that appears (Important: please do not create any new tag. If you have done so inadvertedly, e.g. by clicking on the text you had started typing, please delete it immediately. We need to stick to the official list of tags, because of the following. If we have multiple versions of the same tag differing by small details, we would, in a short time, no longer be able to find the files related to a given concept: they would be spread over too many tags);
  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 above until you have finished;
  10. Close the side menu by clicking on the "X" at the top right of the menu;
  11. Refresh your page on your browser: the tags will appear on the line of the file or folder. (Important: check one last time that only tags of the official list appear. If any other tag remains, please delete it immediately).

On the "Collectives" app (e.g. when creating a Reading Note for a document)

When you have finished editing your Reading Note:

  1. Click on the three dots at the top right of your window;
  2. In the menu that appears, click on the option "Show in Files";
  3. The file opens again with the side menu open;
  4. Continue from step 4. in the process above regarding the "Files" app.
